The Best
Board & Train
In The Triangle (allegedly)
We’ve identified common reasons why most traditional Board & Trains don’t work.
…and created a program that does work.
DOG OWNERS NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THEIR DOGS FOR WEEKS
COMPLICATED TRAINING ROUTINES THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP UP WITH
STRESSFUL & NOISY KENNELS FULL OF BARKING DOGS
COOKIE CUTTER PROGRAMS THAT ARE TOO SHORT AND RUSH PROGRESS
Just because somethig is normal, doesn’t mean it is better. We used to do Board & Trains the normal way. We would train a dog for a couple of weeks, focus on obedience commands, and give the owners a full rundown at the very end.
But it didn’t work.
Dog owners felt so overwhelmed trying to remember everything, that it all started to fall apart within a few weeks. Even when they followed all of the “rules” perfectly.
We realized something important.
Owners needed more support, and more training before their dog’s came home. They didn’t need a list of obedience commands to remember. They needed for their dog to fit into their everyday life. They needed to be able to visit their dogs during training, and to be more involved in the process from the beginning.
We don’t agree with the “industry standard”

They needed to be able to visit their dogs during training, and to be more involved in the process from the beginning.
So we decided to do something different:
Visit (and practice) with your dog while they are in training
Daily video updates so that you can see what your dog is learning
Individual care and training in a calm home environment.
we can teach your dog:
to walk nicely on the leash
to come when called
how to greet your guests politely
to calm down and be more relaxed
to be better behaved around distractions
to be the ultimate go-anywhere dog
Many people ask: “well, won’t Board & Train just teach my dog to listen to you, when they need to listen to me?”
Think of it like sending your dog to school. We’ll teach them how to “read and write” to make good choices, and to understand how to communicate with us.
They won’t forget any of that when they return home to you, and we’ve organized our program to make sure you are involved in the entire process, so that you know how to reinforce all their good habits over the long term.
Which is why we encourage you to visit your pup while they are in training, so that you can learn alongside them!

Suzannah is the absolute best dog trainer! We were lucky enough to have a friend refer us to Suzannah this winter when we got our chocolate lab puppy Thad. We have done both private training through her homeschooling program as well as the board and train option while we went on a trip. Suzannah turned our wild, over exhausted puppy into the best behaved boy! I cannot recommend her enough!!

We are grateful for Suzannah and the key role she played in helping our dog Elvis live his best life—thank you Suzannah! We originally fostered Elvis (a 7-year-old Terrier mix) for a month before he was adopted. After 3-4 months with his new family, they got in touch that it was not working out. Elvis was struggling with leash aggression with other dogs and strong reactions to strangers in the house (and once he was worked up, his family could not get him to calm down). We took Elvis back in as a foster and we looked for a trainer who could help us with these issues and could board Elvis during some travel we had already planned before he came back to us. During his train and board, Suzannah recorded videos of everything she was working on with lots of narration that she uploaded on a shared playlist. Once we returned, we had lots of one-on-one sessions with her to work on our handling skills and keep up with Elvis’ progress. After a couple months and much progress, we were completely in love and decided to adopt Elvis. It’s now been a year since we first met Suzannah and about 6 months ago we moved to Utah. We do lots of off leash hiking with Elvis, he is great with other dogs on and off leash. When our friends come over, even ones he hasn’t met before, he does really well. We couldn’t be happier with the love, care, structure, and skills Suzannah shared with Elvis and us. The communications methods she established with Elvis and trained us to use were instrumental and it’s clear Suzannah is a talented and extremely thoughtful trainer for dogs and their humans.

Suzannah helped us out so much with boarding our special guy Grover and training our new puppy Gimli. We did a board and train program for Gimli and he came back a new dog with amazing manners! We have been so grateful to be able to reach out for support with small issues that came up after our training program. We can’t wait to start coming to some group classes too!

I’ve worked with them for four years now and all I can say is terrific trainers and experience.
From boarding for training, to the transition back to home after, and group session, they’ve been amazing. They’re incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and always timely in their responses, I’d recommend them to anyone! They’ve helped with basic training to working with reactive dogs in stressful situations and created training methods that all levels can work be successful with! Again, I deeply appreciative for the support and training they’ve provided, for my pups and myself!
